Three Pillars of Focus
Cybersecurity is a complex area, and JJ's focus is non-technical. Broken up into three pillars of focus with Human (Cyber) Risk Management, Cybersecurity Outside of IT and Everyday Cybersecurity Fundamentals.
1. Human (Cyber) Risk Management
This pillar caters to IT Professionals and Security Awareness Training Program Practitioners.
Focusing on the human element in cybersecurity, this pillar explores the establishment of behavioural change for end users. Topics include best practices for end-to-end security awareness and education programs, behavioural psychology, strategies to create and maintain a security culture in organisations and the critical role IT plays in attaining that outcome.
2. Cybersecurity Outside of IT
This pillar caters to everyone outside of IT, including Boards, Executive Teams, HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Government etc., plus Micro and Small to Medium Businesses.
Delving into the discussion that cybersecurity is a whole of business risk, the focus is on an audience outside of IT. This pillar includes the threat landscape as it pertains to a specific industry, department, or sector, with the addition of best practices, guidelines, resources, and information specific to them.
3. Everyday Cybersecurity Fundamentals
This pillar caters to the general public of all ages and knowledge and is designed to empower and provide a framework for basic cyber hygiene.
With a jargon-free, non-technical approach for the general public, JJ breaks down the complexities designed to keep kids, teens, adults, and seniors safe online, including cybersecurity's what, why, when, and how, including common threats, scams, social media, online predators, privacy, what to do if your information is part of a data breach, and more.

Op-Ed: With social media, you can't fence the ocean
Labor’s proposed age-based social media bans will simply not work – and as a parent and professional in the space, here’s why.
Cyber Daily
September 2024
In May 2024, the SA government sought to ban social media for children under 14 and require parental consent for those 14 and 15 years of age. Shortly after, there was a push for a national ban on social media use by children under 16.
Now, with a 276-page report released this month, South Australia has relaunched its efforts with a plan to ban social media use for children under 14 and parental consent for 15-year-olds.
The 276-page report includes the draft Children (Social Media Safety) Bill, which the government uses as a starting point for public consultation. It was designed by former High Court Chief Justice Robert French, with whom SA Premier Peter Malinauskas was tasked with examining the legal and technological issues of banning young children from using social media. Here's the report https://www.dpc.sa.gov.au/responsibilities/reviews
It was also announced yesterday that a bill would be introduced to federal parliament before the next election, with the Commonwealth working with the States to plan the best way forward. The Prime Minister believes that, in his "personal view", the minimum age should be 16.

The ultimate guide to protect your business from scammers this tax time

June 2024
Tax season is here again, and with it the inevitable rise in scam attempts. For cyber criminals, this is the perfect time to exploit the confusion and urgency that often accompanies tax filings. cyber security expert Jacqueline Jayne shares how to keep your business secure.
Every year, as we get closer to EOFY, scammers dust off their well-worn playbook, updating it with new tricks to outsmart even the most tech-savvy individuals. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and myGov become prime targets for impersonation, with scammers seeking financial gain or to steal your personally identifiable information (PII), including your tax file number.
As a business owner, it’s crucial to regularly update your cybersecurity protocols and ensure that all employees are aware of the latest threats.
The 2022/23 financial year saw a dramatic increase in activity.

JJ is one of the most versatile professionals I have worked with. We have crossed paths in several organisations and in each, I observed her skill set evolve dependent on the sector and role she held.
The consistent thread is her uncanny ability to recognise what an organisation needs and to deliver it in a style and language that resonates with the stakeholders.
She identified a gap in the cyber security world and developed resources and a narrative around the human factor in cyber. JJ has used her considerable communication skills to connect with stakeholders, clients and the media in a way that is unique to her, and delivers impact in measurable ways. She is not your traditional cyber expert - rather she makes the complex simple, engaging and educational.
If you are looking for the missing piece in your cyber education or strategy - JJ is who you need.
